This gallery is imagery and story of SCi work to transform abstract concepts into accessible understandable examples.  Addressing challenges like implicit bias, the impacts of racism on all identity issues, oppression, power, and privilege are artistically woven into effective SCi approaches that are simple, yet profound.  Don't just look at these pix, please see the story...

"SCi has the gift of opening up meaningful dialogue on issues which, while they may be personally uncomfortable and awkward, they are much needed discussions in order to further harmony and wholeness in our society.  As a high school counselor, I had the privilege of taking six students to one of “Social Centric Institute Proclamation Experience” events.  This was the first time for many of these students that they were able to first-hand experience the reality of what it meant to be Black in this society, and the underlying trauma of this generations long ordeal.  The hands on exhibits, and the opportunity to come together at the end in circle group to share out the impact of the various exhibits, left an indelible mark on my students and me.  On the ride back to campus, they were able to continue the discussion and were eagerly making plans to bring the exhibit back to Camelback so other students could also share in the experience.  It was one of the most impactful opportunities to raise social consciousness within our youth, our future, I could imagine.  I am confident it was a life changing experience for all of them, as well as, for me.
